Zenith commences Major Refurb Contract for Unipart, Cowley
Zenith Refitment has secured a refurb contract worth over £100k from Unipart Logistics in Cowley, Oxford, commencing Mid-December 2018. The project includes industrial high level cleaning, painting & decorating, resin flooring and small works which will involve all four divisions of Zenith.
Unipart is a multinational logistics, supply chain, manufacturing and consultancy company, with headquarters in Cowley, Oxfordshire. The site houses one of Unipart Logistics’ national distribution centres, providing customers with a service that ranges from traditional logistics to the entire supply chain.
Committed to the highest standards of innovation, practicality and efficiency, Unipart is currently spending over £1 million pounds preparing a warehouse to meet the requirements of the NHS. All work must be completed by mid-January, when the NHS is set to move in.
With the capability and resources to meet any commercial cleaning requirement, large or small, Zenith Contractors works quickly and flexibly to achieve maximum results. Likewise, Zenith’s Painting & Decorating team achieves a high standard of decorative finishes to the customers requirement.

Zenith Pola Flooring have recently completed the installation of 165 m2 of PPG products at the recently refurbished Johnstone’s Decorating Centre, Coventry.
PPG was chosen not only because it manufactures market leading Johnstone’s paint brands, but because of its high-quality, high-performance and sustainable solutions that can withstand the pressures a shop floor may face.
To begin with, Zenith started mechanically preparing the existing floor slab to remove surface contamination and provide a suitable mechanical key for the following 2 coatings of PPG EP301. Then the first and second coat of EP301 was applied.
PPG EP301 is extremely attractive, easy to clean, tough and durable coating with good resistance to chemicals; ideal attributes for a paint shop.
The project had to have a flexible schedule around the client’s requirements and had to be completed outside shop hours during the week.
Johnstone’s have said: “We just want to say how happy we are with the floor you recently applied to our Coventry decorating centre. The finish is fantastic and has really improved and brightened up our shop floor since our refurb and we can’t thank Zenith Pola Flooring enough.”

Zenith have recently won a number of new cleaning contracts.
Work includes carrying out void clearance and prior-to-let cleans for North Warwickshire Borough Council, to include Atherstone and surrounding small villages. Zenith are also undertaking one-off painting works, including graffiti coverup and over-painting. Throughout 2019, Zenith hope to expand their service offering for North Warwickshire Borough Council.
Zenith have also been successful in re-tendering for Midland Heart clearance and prior-to-let cleans throughout Birmingham, successfully securing the contract for 2019. Zenith have worked together with Midland Heart for over twenty years and their professional relationship continues to grow.

Zenith are about to start another 3-phase project at Sandvik using Zenrite Flex HD.
Several months ago, Zenith were called into Sandvik to look at some potential work. Another company had already laid a sample of resin flooring and Sandvik were looking for other ideas before committing to new flooring.
The whole factory was due to be refurbished and they wanted to ensure that they had an appropriate product that was both durable and aesthetically pleasing.
Zenith put a sample of Zenrite Flex HD down and also arranged to apply two other samples, to offer the client a range of flooring samples for different budgets.
Sandvik then trafficked the samples over several weeks and monitored how well they performed for slip resistance, impact resistance, and ease of cleaning.
The Zenrite Flex HD system was chosen as it performed better than any of the others: it was not easily damaged or scratched, and it cleaned up well whilst retaining a very good slip resistance.
To confirm Sandvik’s choice, a site visit to third-party factory was arranged. This allowed the client to see first-hand how the product performed and it gave them a chance to ask any questions.
Following the visit, Sandvik confirmed that they wanted to proceed with Zenith and their Zenrite Flex HD system throughout the entire factory.
So far, Zenith have installed three areas with another three areas to be completed by mid-November 2018. Sandvik have also already had other companies view their flooring and have recommended Zenith.
