Project Description
Our client is a Leicestershire-based specialist fabricator of bespoke retail and hospitality displays and environments, involved in designing and producing solutions for some of the world’s top brands.
Looking to enhance and improve health & safety procedures, they asked Zenith to help upgrade their production area with the introduction of pedestrian walkways, hatched boxes and safety stencils.
The work was undertaken by Zenith’s industrial flooring team, who were tasked with causing as little disruption as possible to the production schedule while completing the job. As the first stage involved shotblasting to ensure good mechanical key, the team totally enclosed the specified areas, ensuring minimum dust and contamination.
The next stage of the job involved accurately marking-out and masking up to define the gangways and safety areas, before applying Pumadur DD Gloss in safety yellow, safety red and white. Once the coatings had cured, the masking tape was removed, revealing the new markings with crisp, defined edges.
The final phase saw the team introducing safety stencils to highlight fire escape routes, no-go areas and foot traffic only areas.
The whole process was carried out and completed during a weekend, involving little or no disruption for the client, who was delighted with the results, aptly illustrating the capability of the team to work collaboratively, operate within existing conditions and deliver proven expertise.
