Zenith gains accreditation to the innovative Common Assessment Standard

We are pleased to announce that Zenith Contractors Limited, Zenith Refitment Services Limited and Zenith Pola Flooring Services Limited have achieved accreditation to the newly introduced Common Assessment Standard through CHAS Premier.

Created in partnership by Build UK and the Civil Engineering Contractors Association, this new system has been designed with the aim of reducing inefficiencies that are currently costing the construction industry up to £1 billion a year.

By streamlining the construction pre-qualification system at its first stage (business assurance), it is hoped that this will enable greater consistency and efficiency for sub-contractors.

This progressive system’s first phase of implementation included the publication of the Common Assessment Standard and confirmation of the first assessment bodies authorised to certify companies against the standard: Achilles, CHAS and Constructionline.

The Common Assessment Standard (CAS) is comprised of industry-agreed question sets based on existing PQ questionnaires, including PAS 91 and desktop and site-based assessment standards.

We are delighted to have achieved CAS accreditation and to be able to play our part in simplifying this often convoluted process.
