Zenith welcomes Debbie McCartney to the team
Zenith extends a warm welcome to recent recruit, Debbie McCartney, who joined us in October 2023, working within our office team as Project Administrator. It’s a wide and varied role, calling for a whole raft of organisational and interpersonal skills, and we are delighted to say that Debbie has more than risen to the task and is proving to be a real asset.
Office Manager, Rachel Perry, comments: “Zenith is a fun and friendly place to work, and we want our employees to feel valued and part of the family. During the recruitment process for Project Administrator, we evaluated candidates on their interpersonal skills as well as their ability to do the job. From her first day, Debbie instantly clicked into place and gelled with colleagues, and it feels as though she has always been part of the team.”
As Project Administrator, Debbie’s many responsibilities include processing customer enquiries, organising surveys with subcontractors and manufacturers, and generally progressing all aspects of the process. This involves issuing Purchase Orders via QuickBooks Online, managing plant and skip hire, and assisting with health & safety inspections. She’s also required to help build a database of suppliers and subcontractors, produce RAMS and an O & M manual, and input completed jobs onto the website. Depending on the project, she also assists with snagging management and site visits.
Debbie’s career to date has given her good experience in office administration, and she says she chose to join Zenith because “the company has an excellent reputation, the position is exciting, with lots of variety, and the staff are lovely”. She admits this position presents her with her biggest professional challenge to date but has found the experience to be excellent and is looking forward to progressing her skills. Outside of work, Debbie enjoys going to the gym and supporting Coventry City Football Club.
Rachel Perry says: “When not discussing the success (or failures) of Coventry City FC, Debbie has the difficult task of juggling many tasks and, at times, this can become stressful. Her organisational skills are proving to be invaluable to our Refurbishment Division and are facilitating the smooth running of projects for customers. In the coming months, we’ll be investing in Debbie by providing essential training to expand her knowledge base and skill set.”
So, it’s all systems go for Debbie! We very much appreciate your attention to detail, commitment to the requirements of the job and ability to always go the extra mile. You’ve become a valuable member of the team, continually working to the benefit of your workmates and clients alike, and we look forward to seeing your career progression within Zenith.
