Zenith Supports Cheryl’s £1m Charity Target
After losing her husband to cancer, Cheryl Barnacle launched a £1m fund-raising drive, which has recently been supported by Zenith.
The devastating loss of her husband led Cheryl Barnacle into a personal crusade. She pledged to raise £1 million for Cancer Research, and in less than eight years the fund set up in his memory has already topped £416,000.
“I get help from a small group of people but it’s an on-going effort,” said Cheryl. Since she started, Cheryl has organized many fund-raising events, including craft fairs, tombola stalls and coffee mornings.
Personal friend, Donna Moore, Contract Cleaning Manager at Zenith, decided to support Cheryl and organised a cake bake sale to help raise money for Cancer Research. Each cake was sold for £1 and at the end of day all cakes were sold and a total of £65.40 made.
Zenith is proud to support Cheryl, who has recently been nominated for the Pride of Coventry and Warwickshire Awards, in association with Virgin Trains, for her determination to raise money to eradicate cancer completely.
