Zenith Contractors Expands Operations in Void Clearance and Contract Cleaning
Zenith Contractors is enjoying phenomenal expansion year on year within the field of void clearance and contract cleaning.
A number of new client wins and the expansion of existing contracts has seen the company grow exponentially, moving into new areas across the Midlands and recruiting additional teams to keep up with work demands.
With over 15 years’ environmental cleaning experience, Zenith Contractors has a proven track record for providing fast, efficient and reliable void clearance solutions, and is increasingly being sought by Housing Associations throughout the Midlands to carry out pre-let cleans and manage clearance of their void properties, providing a clean, safe working environment for maintenance work to be carried out.
Teams pride themselves on their ‘can do’ approach and possess a range of specialist skills enabling them to carry out complex and difficult cleaning tasks, disposal of hazardous waste and pest control.
Recent contract wins have seen Zenith Contractors providing between 40 – 50 pre-let cleans a week for Whitefriars Housing; void property and garden clearances and pre-let cleans, numbering around 10 properties a week, for Orbit Properties in locations throughout East Midlands, Coventry, Leicester and Northamptonshire; communal cleaning for Orbit Housing Association at sites in Coventry, Nuneaton, Rugby, Leamington Spa, Shipston and Warwick; and fire damage clearance for Midland Heart.
Zenith has also secured a 12-month contract with the Kier Group, who has recently won a 10-year contract with Mercian Housing Association, maintaining and clearing void properties around the West Midlands. At present, Zenith attends around six Mercian properties a week, with more work potentially in the pipeline, as the teams prove their capability.
In addition, Zenith Contractors also attends communal bin areas for Orbit Housing Association, clearing fly-tipped and excessive rubbish from sites within a 60-mile radius of the depot, ranging between one to twelve jobs per week; and carries out approximately 50 deep cleans annually in school kitchens for Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
In response to the new business gains, Zenith Contractors’ head count has doubled over the past three years for both clearance and cleaning teams, and now comprises four two-man teams working permanently on void clearances and seven two-man cleaning force teams (mostly ladies), working on pre-let cleans, kitchens and environmental cleans. In light of the recent Kier contract win, the void clearance teams may increase to five or six, depending on requirements, and a sixth caged tipper truck is to be purchased.
Now processing around 75 pre-let cleans weekly and upwards of 30 void clearances and communal rubbish visits weekly, Zenith Contractors is gearing up to accommodate further contract wins, in keeping with their on-going business expansion programme.
