Zenith Contract Services Ltd – 26th Annual Charity Golf Day

Friday 29th August saw friends, family, customers and suppliers of Zenith Contract Services Ltd come together once again at Nuneaton Golf Club for the 26th Charity Golf Day. Despite a short downpour of rain, spirits remained high as 13 teams battled it out for the coveted Brian Hancox Memorial Trophy.

Competition was fierce, but it was Bromwich Hardy LLP who claimed the team honours, with Nuneaton Access and Security taking second place and Nuneaton Golf Club Lady Captains Team securing third. In the individual competition, Dan Robinson of Nuneaton Access and Security produced a superb round, carding an impressive 43 points to take first place. Tom Smith of Bromwich Hardy LLP claimed second on 38, just edging out Andy Walsh from Drake Howard Properties on count back.

There was also a moment of golfing magic when Zenith’s very own Tom Cope struck a hole-in-one at the 17th – a feat previously achieved only once before in the history of this event by Managing Director, Martyn Hancox many years ago. A truly special moment!

Most importantly, the day raised £2,000 for Cancer Research UK, Mary Ann Evans Hospice, and the Local Air Ambulance – charities that make a real difference in the community and are close to many hearts.

Once the golfing was done, the celebrations continued with a BBQ, disco and karaoke – showcasing some surprisingly strong vocal performances… and a few that were perhaps better off sticking to golf!

Zenith Contract Services Ltd would like to thank everyone who supported and took part in this year’s event. The combination of competition, camaraderie and charity made it another memorable day – and a fitting tribute to the spirit of the Brian Hancox Memorial Trophy.
