Zenith Complete Work for Coventry & Solihull Waste Disposal Company
Zenith Painting & Decorating Division have been appointed to paint CSWDC's Air Condensing Control Pipe.
CSWDC is an independent waste management company who convert burnable waste into energy, i.e. heat and electrical power, all collected from municipal and commercial premises from within the Coventry and Warwickshire area.
The steam created from the burner units in the plant comes out at high pressure through the ACC Unit, and then travels in pipes underground to the Coventry City Council Buildings approximately 1 mile away.
The external surfaces temperature of the ACC pipe within the CSWDC Plant can exceed up to 300 degrees and this required a highly temperature resistant primer followed by the desired dark brown coloured top coat. The paints used for this project were PPG High Temp 1027 and PPG High Temp VS1000degree which are used specifically for this purpose and had to be made to order and imported from the US. Zenith chose this particular PPG product as it is renowned for a durable and long-lasting finish with a 15 year warranty.
