Vulnerable House Clean for the WPH Charitable Trust

Zenith was approached by the WPH Charitable Trust to carry out a house de-clutter and deep environmental clean on behalf of an elderly lady, enabling her to return home after a long hospital stay.

The WPH Charitable Trust was set up in 1994 using funds from the sale of the Warwickshire Private Hospital and today supports a wide range of healthcare projects across Coventry and Warwickshire, including home refurbishment and construction.

The Trust contacted Zenith with the requirement to carry out a complete house de-clutter, tidy-up and deep environmental clean, enabling an elderly lady to return home after an extensive hospital stay.

Having worked with Orbit Housing on their vulnerable scheme and other similar requirements for Blind Veterans UK, Zenith was fully aware of the need for sensitivity when handling a house clean and de-clutter on behalf of a vulnerable adult.

Working with a neighbour, who had acted as the lady’s carer for many years, the team was able to carry out a comprehensive de-clutter and clean and retaining items of sentimental value.

All rooms were fully cleaned and, where required, the team carried out a deep environmental clean, including the kitchen and bathroom, ensuring the house was sanitised and hygienic in preparation for the owner’s return.

As the hospital was keen to discharge the lady as quickly as possible, the work was carried out over four days, with up to six people on site, ensuring the work was completed speedily and professionally.

As with other similar work, this job highlights Zenith’s ability to work efficiently and compassionately, remaining sympathetic to the owner’s wishes and requirements, while carrying out a full clean to the highest professional standards and significantly improving the owner’s living conditions.
