Overview
As part of a long-standing relationship with one of our most valued clients, Zenith Contract Services were appointed to refurbish the flooring within their busy vehicle maintenance workshop, including the inspection pit area. The key requirement was to improve safety through high-visibility line markings while also refreshing and protecting the floor surface.
Challenge
The workshop environment had accumulated wear and tear over time, including old coatings that needed to be fully removed. The project demanded precise application of safety line markings in a live operational setting, requiring meticulous planning and surface preparation to ensure longevity and adhesion.
Our Solution
To ensure optimal bonding of the new coating system, we carried out thorough mechanical preparation using a combination of enclosed shotblasting and diamond grinding to remove all previous coatings and contaminants.
We then applied KDR Epocoat, a high-build epoxy resin system, in contrasting safety red and yellow finishes. These colours were selected to provide clear visual demarcation around key hazard areas and the inspection pit, significantly enhancing operational safety.
Outcome
Completed in just three days, the project delivered a sharp, professional finish with bold, clean lines and improved floor durability. The client was highly satisfied with both the quality of workmanship and the minimal disruption to their operations. As always, Zenith delivered with precision and professionalism — and the results speak for themselves.
