Client Requirements

A well-established light engineering company in the Midlands sought a refreshed and durable flooring solution to uplift their existing factory environment. The old floor coating was worn, damaged, and visually tired, impacting both appearance and performance.

Zenith were appointed to deliver the refurbishment based on previous successful projects completed for the client.

Our Solution

To begin, the Zenith team removed the existing coating using orbital diamond grinding, exposing the concrete subfloor and preparing it for the new application.

Minor surface repairs were completed using epoxy resin mortar, including the formation of a new ramp at the roller shutter doorway to improve access and safety.

Following surface preparation and repairs, the floor was finished with a robust application of KDR Epocoat High Build epoxy resin coating in a vibrant red, chosen for its durability, resistance to wear, and improved visual appeal.

Outcome

Completed efficiently over two weekends to minimise operational disruption, the new floor provides the client with a hard-wearing, easy-to-maintain surface that not only looks smart but also enhances safety and usability within the factory.
