Accident Repair Centre
- Client: Accident Repair Centre
- Project timescale: 1 Week
- Coverage: 1,500m2
Project Description
Following the successful completion of a small refurbishment project in the spring of 2019, Zenith were invited to tender for a larger, more complex floor covering within a new build project for an Accident Repair Centre in the Midlands.
Covering approximately 1,500m2, the project required a significant amount of planning to achieve the level of detail specified by the client.
The initial stage of preparation included mechanical shot blasting under vacuum extraction to provide a suitable mechanical key for the FeRFA type 3 resin coating that had been specified.
The floor area was then measured out, and a demarcation phase was completed to distinguish areas within the floor - a multi coloured system was used to create walkways and running aisles within the floor. Once the coloured resin had been applied black ‘T’ pieces were marked out to denote the parking bays. This process required high levels of accuracy and precision to match the layout provided in the drawings. From start to finish, this circa 1500m2 project took a total of one week to complete, a testament to the standards, speed and accuracy that the Zenith team achieved.
