Zenith Keeps Up To Date With Latest Safety Training

Zenith Refitment takes the subject of health and safety at work very seriously, and ensures that members of staff complete the latest training relevant to their position within the company and field of operation.

In July 2016, Matthew Richards and James Hancox, both from Zenith Refitment Painting & Decorating, successfully completed the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme. This two-day course introduces Site Supervisors to their legal responsibilities with regard to health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.

The course covered the Health and Safety at Work Act, looking at site-specific issues that challenge supervisors on a daily basis, and included effective toolbox talks and supervision of occupational health and behavioral safety.

In August 2016, six members of office staff completed fire warden training at Zenith’s premises. The half-day course was led by Dale Huddlestone, from Flamex Fire Protection Ltd, who services Zenith’s office-based fire detection system, and covered such areas as current legislation, correct selection of fire extinguishers and use in the workplace.

Zenith’s approach to health and safety training highlights the company’s commitment to maintaining the highest levels of professional conduct both within the office and when working on site. Whatever the nature of the job, the safety of staff, operatives and members of the public always comes first and is ensured by up-to-the-minute training courses, ensuring supervisors and staff implement and follow relevant safety procedures.
